QA Graphics is pleased to announce that they have joined the Iowa Restaurant Association (IRA), a member-driven professional association of the restaurant and retail beverage industry in Iowa.
The Iowa Grocery Industry Association has featured QA Graphics in their recent news article “QA Graphics Provides Nutritional Information Kiosks.” The article gives an overview of QA Graphics' interactive nutritional kiosks, which can help restaurants comply with menu labeling laws. The article also discusses other marketing solutions that QA Graphics can offer including touchscreen applications, digital menu boards, mobile applications, and other multimedia solutions. QA Graphics is pleased to announce the hiring of Jordan Cashatt, Aaron Bonney, Molly Beals, and Jenny Buckhouse.
QSR Web's article “NRA Show 2012: A display of industry growth” gives a recap of the NRA Show 2012, sharing that the show was bigger and held more technology vendors and interest than the NRA Show 2011. The article discusses the increase in restaurant use of mobile applications and digital signage. QA Graphics has a nice shout out in the article as a technology and design service provider for the restaurant industry, for their mobile app capabilities, nutritional kiosks and other solutions. Environmental Design & Construction magazine’s article, “Tips ‘n’ Tricks: 10 Tips to Create a Quality Building Environment,” offers tips on how to enhance employee comfort, health and productivity. Tip number 1 is to promote sustainability and educate employees on environmentally friendly behaviors. Using a dashboard can help accomplish this. View the article for more tips.
Check out the May digital edition of the ASHRAE Journal. QA Graphics has an ad featured, showing how schools can use the Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard to encourage occupants to help participate in energy saving practices. View the ad.
The Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard (EEED) is also featured in the issue as a special product – for its ability to illustrate building efficiency for an unlimited number of buildings and display that information on touchscreens, on the Web and on mobile devices. See the ASHRAE Journal.
QA Graphics attended the NRA Show in Chicago this week. At the show, we were included in QSR magazine’s article “From the Floor: High Tech on the Front Lines” which covered new tech trends in the restaurant industry.
The article discussed how mobile applications and other tech solutions for restaurants can be used to improve marketing, sales processes and more. QA Graphics was interviewed and featured in the article on how how touchscreen applications can be leveraged as a marketing tool in the restaurant to enhance the customer experience.
The Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard that QA Graphics completed for Drake Community Library in Grinnell, Iowa, is featured in I Love Libraries news. At the Drake Library, it’s displayed on a 42-inch touchscreen in the lobby, allowing visitors to walk up and learn about the library’s sustainable construction. The dashboard provides feedback on how efficiently the library is using electricity and water, by displaying real-time usage information and comparing that to past usage, over weekly, monthly and yearly time periods. QA Graphics is included in Plumbing and Mechanical magazine’s Solar thermal Report for the Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard project completed for Eastern Mennonite University. The University received LEED Gold Certification for their Cedarwood residence hall. QA Graphics worked with the university to provide their energy dashboard to display in the common area, so students can see what sustainable features were implemented in the building to achieve LEED, as well as real time building performance data to see how efficient their building is operating. The interactive display also helped EMU earn an Innovation and Design credit as part of the green building certification. Read the article (pdf).
QA Graphics’ interactive nutritional application created for a McDonald’s franchise is featured on Dallas Morning News, “More restaurants serving up nutrition data for consumers”. Read the full article.
QA Graphics worked with Jonathan Chan, the restaurant owner, to create a custom solution which shows nutritional facts for the standard McDonald’s menu and allows users to view total nutrition details for their meal. The application is displayed on a touchscreen in the main area of the McDonald’s restaurant in Richardson, Texas. It is the first display of this type in the U.S. Learn more about nutritional kiosks.
