Energy Use Study Examines Design Features, Operations and Tenant Behavior
Green Building News’ article, “Energy Use Study Examines Design Features, Operations and Tenant Behavior,” discusses the new study compiled by The New Buildings Institute (NBI) and Seattle-based Ecotope. The study found that tenants can make a surprisingly higher impact on a building’s energy usage than thought, but that occupants rarely are able to see their impact they can make. According to the study, sub metering and energy dashboards can inform building tenants about their resource use and encourage behavior change to reduce energy usage. Read the article.
