QA Graphics, an industry leader in the design of control system graphics, is pleased to announce the development of an affordable licensed BAS Image Module for Niagara AX. The Module allows building control integrators to easily create high-end system graphics within the Niagara AX platform. Condensed Water System Graphic

QA Graphics provides extensive graphic outsourcing for the building automation industry and has developed a BAS Image Module which Niagara AX users can rely on to build high-end graphics within their BAS software.  The Module provides licensed graphics of QA Graphics’ 3D BAS Symbol Library v3.0, which offers more appealing and realistic graphics than provided by default with the Niagara AX platform.  The BAS Symbol Library provides both static and pre-built animated images of the equipment and components needed to assemble most major mechanical systems. With these images, users can spend less time assembling 3D BAS graphics and 3D HVAC graphics and more time focusing on integration while further distinguishing themselves in the market by providing their customers with a nicer looking user interface. With  over 280 static and 85 animated graphics including boilers, chillers, dampers, filters, piping, fans, cooling towers, generators, valves, ductwork, coils and more, users can represent mechanical control drawings in a schematic, graphical view.

The licensed BAS Image Module was developed to offer integrators an affordable solution that provides both high-end graphics and the security and assurance that their graphics are protected.  The Module functions smoothly within Niagara AX, opening through the palette sidebar, similar to the existing graphics provided with Niagara AX. The user can simply drag symbols from the palette onto their canvas Boiler System Graphico build their system graphics.

“The BAS Image Module greatly simplifies the process of developing control system graphics for Niagara AX users,” said Russell Zimmerman, vice president of operations/engineering at QA Graphics. “It allows users to build graphics faster, and by licensing the use of the graphics for individual projects, we’ve been able to significantly lower the cost so that users can incorporate it into their project’s expenses.”

The Module can be loaded onto both Tridium, Inc.’s JACE devices and AX Supervisors which utilize the Niagara AX platform. Then users must purchase a license to access the symbols from the Image Module to begin creating high-end system graphics.

To meet a variety of project needs, QA Graphics has developed affordable licensing options for the BAS Image Module for Niagara AX:

Licenses of the BAS Image Module for JACE devices are available for $245 and licenses for Supervisors are available for $595. An Engineering Workstation licence is available for $100 per workstation/per year, which allows you to create graphics at your local workstation and transfer to a station or supervisor.

Subsets of the full Symbol Library are available to reduce the JAR file size on smaller projects.

License for Full BAS Symbol Library - This includes all symbols in QA Graphics’ BAS Symbol Library v.3.0, providing an extensive variety of graphics to create almost any system graphic.

License for Water System Graphics - This includes all symbols offered in QA Graphics’ BAS Symbol Library v.3.0 that are needed to create water system graphics.

License for Air System Graphics - This includes all symbols offered in QA Graphics’ BAS Symbol Library v.3.0 that are needed to create air system graphics.

License for Miscellaneous System Graphics - This includes all miscellaneous symbols offered in QA Graphics’ BAS Symbol Library v.3.0, like security/alarm/lighting icons, a solar panel, UI switches, a return fan, ventilators, a domestic water heater, and more.

To learn more about the BAS Image Module for Niagara AX, visit www.qagraphics.com/bas-image-module. For Niagara AX users with numerous projects scheduled throughout the year, bulk package pricing is available.  QA Graphics also provides custom symbol development and custom module development. A custom module can be developed for a low one-time fee, to provide only the images an organization would utilize on a regular basis. Licensing for each JACE or Supervisor still applies. The Image Module can also be branded specifically to an organization so that the company appears as the vendor. This would include customizing the Image Module name and all the licensed graphics can be custom watermarked.

In addition to the BAS Image Module developed for use within the Niagara AX platform, QA Graphics’ BAS Symbol Library is compatible with most building automation system (BAS) software, including Alerton, Andover, Reliable Controls, TAC, and Trane. Learn more.  To see how you can affordably create high-end BAS graphics within the Niagara AX platform or other BAS software, contact QA Graphics at 515.965.3403.
