QA Graphics Provides Bridge Data Manager for SystemWorks LLC

QA Graphics is pleased to share that their client SystemWorks, LLC has implemented the Bridge Data Manager during one of their commissioning projects for Central College.

SystemWorks, an independent, third-party commissioning provider has implemented Bridge as part of a commissioning project for Central College. QA Graphics’ Bridge Data Manager is a data logger tool that can collect and log data from virtually any source to track performance data for comparing, trending, validating, commissioning, and reporting on that data.

SystemWorks worked with Mike Lubberden, Central College’s director of facilities planning and management to implement the Bridge Data Manger. It is being used by the campus to verify that the utility meter data reporting, including the electrical, gas, steam, and chilled water use is performing as the building design intended. To get the campus data from the building automation system to the Bridge Data Manager, SystemWorks used QA Graphics’ Web Interface for JCI Metasys. The interface is a web-based, software solution used to map data from the Johnson Controls MSEA system to Bridge, where the data is logged via the network or cloud storage using Microsoft SQL Server.

“We looked to QA Graphics because of their experience and history in successfully collecting JCI Metasys data,” Scott Talbot, commissioning supervisor, SystemWorks, LLC. “The software was quick to install, and has been easy for us to work within setting up points and collecting the data remotely.”

3D BAS Symbol Library for the Building Controls Industry

(Ankeny , Iowa) QA Graphics announced their latest 3D symbol library for building automation systems. The pieces and parts library is available for most building automation systems.

The BAS symbol library consists of common graphics and animations needed to build building controls system graphics. With over 200 components in the symbol library, the customer will be able to build almost any system required on the project. “The resulting system graphics library will give our customers a differentiating advantage over their competitors. The end user will benefit as well, now viewing graphics that represent current design standards,” says Russell Zimmerman, vice president of QA Graphics.

QA Graphics offers the BAS symbol library to any company interested in gaining a competitive advantage in the building automation industry. Options for custom graphic libraries and source code ownership are available.

QA Graphics is pleased to share that with the increased demand for 3D graphic and animation services, the company has expanded its onsite rendering farm.

This addition to the onsite rendering farm allows the 3D design team to do more as there continues to be increased interest in 3D graphic and animation services. With this addition, QA Graphics has the ability to power render high-end 3D graphics and animated projects twice as fast. The benefit of expanding this in-house render farm is that all of QA Graphics’ 3D design services are done internally. There is no fee to send projects out to a render farm.

Inc. magazine has ranked QA Graphics, Iowa design firm, NO. 3,472 on its seventh annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. This award ranks QA Graphics as the 13th fastest growing private company in Iowa. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs.
