QA Graphics Partakes in USCIS E-Verification Process
QA Graphics, a leader in the Building Automation System (BAS) graphic outsourcing industry, participates in the government program of electronically E-Verifying an employee’s eligibility to work in the United States after completion of an I-9 form. This service is a practice that is designed to highlight employers’ commitment to maintaining a legal workforce. This is a benefit not only to QA Graphics but also to the clients they work with. While QA Graphics’ work is always done in-house from their Midwest office in Iowa, this process adds a protection of liability and opens QA Graphics as another business opportunity for state or local government contracts that may require E-Verification.
E-Verify is an electronic program through which employers submit information taken from a new hire’s I-9 Form (Employment Eligibility Verification Form) through E-Verify to the Social Security Administration and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This is to determine whether the information matches government records and whether the new hire is authorized to work in the United States. This program was authorized by the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA).
