How QA Graphics’ Symbol Libraries Empower the BAS Industry

At QA Graphics, we’ve spent nearly two decades perfecting the tools that make building automation projects faster, easier, and more professional. One of the most valuable resources we provide is our collection of symbol libraries—purpose-built assets trusted by system integrators, end users, and control manufacturers alike.

These libraries aren’t just about graphics. They’re about helping you work smarter, reduce costs, and deliver results that stand out. In fact, several control manufacturers have embedded our libraries directly into their platforms, so their customers benefit from QA Graphics visuals right out of the box.

Here’s how each library variation can make a difference for you.

Vector Symbol Library

Our Vector Symbol Library offers hundreds of scalable graphics and animations designed for modern BAS platforms like Niagara N4 and Tridium Reflow.

For System Integrators: Save time with ready-made, scalable assets that cut down development hours.

For End Users: Get crisp, resolution-independent visuals that look great on desktops, tablets, or mobile devices.

For Manufacturers: Provide customers with professional, responsive graphics that enhance the default user experience.

V5 Symbol Library

The V5 Symbol Library delivers hundreds of graphics and animations in a modern, polished style. Covering everything from AHUs to pumps and chillers, it’s designed to match today’s BAS interfaces.

For System Integrators: Standardize project visuals for consistency and quicker deployment.

For End Users: Experience intuitive interfaces with clear, modernized equipment symbols.

For Manufacturers: Embed a high-quality graphics package into your software for instant end-user value.

3D Room & System Libraries

Our 3D Room & System Libraries bring immersive detail to projects, including room-level graphics with furniture, lighting, and specialized spaces.

Most Popular Rooms:

• Data Rooms – critical for IT and server environments.
• Labs – accurate layouts for complex, specialized spaces.
• Hospital ISO Rooms – tailored for healthcare environments.

For System Integrators: Differentiate your deliverables with realistic, interactive spaces.

For End Users: See both systems and spaces in context, making navigation intuitive.

For Manufacturers: Elevate your platform with visual depth that customers notice.

Custom Johnson Controls MUI Add-On Symbols

Our team has filled gaps in the JCI Metasys UI library with custom add-ons such as Phoenix valves, fume hoods, roof exhaust fans, unit heaters, and water tanks. These are available at no cost to JCI and affiliates through our dedicated page.

For Integrators & End Users: More complete symbol options to speed up project setup.

For JCI: A free resource to enhance your platform’s baseline graphics.

OEM / Embedded Libraries

One of QA Graphics’ earliest projects was building a 3D pieces-and-parts library for a global control manufacturer—embedded directly into their platform and shipped to every end user. Since then, we’ve built eight custom libraries for manufacturers, many of which are still in active use.

For Manufacturers:

• Differentiate your platform with superior out-of-the-box visuals.
• Reduce support costs with standardized, intuitive graphics.
• Add long-term value with libraries that can evolve as your system grows.

Why It Matters

• For System Integrators: Meet deadlines faster, reduce development time, and deliver a polished final product.
• For End Users: Gain clarity, confidence, and easier system navigation.
• For Control Manufacturers: Strengthen your platform’s value and consistency across all customer deployments.

And when you need something unique? We’ll create custom symbols—often at no additional cost—so your project never stalls.
