New Symbol Library Module to Substitute Niagara N4’s Graphic Library
QA Graphics has created a new module to offer their clients using Tridium Niagara N4’s software. This tool is an extension update of their existing Symbol Library v5 that will easily replace N4’s existing graphic file. This symbol library module will effortlessly integrate within the software, allowing N4 users to implement QA Graphics’ extensive Symbol Library. This module is free of charge to whomever owns a Symbol Library v5. QA Graphics is also including free updates of new and added graphics as they are rolled out.
While the new symbol library module is for the Niagara N4 software only, the Symbol Library v5 files can be delivered for any control system. QA Graphics has provided several of the leading control system manufacturers and private companies graphic libraries since their first edition in 2007. Becoming an expert design resource for the building controls industry, providing graphics for any type of building automation system (BAS).
This symbol library offers a competitive advantage in the BAS industry, delivering more appealing and realistic graphics than typically provided with BAS software. The Symbol Library v5 is powerful and includes over 450 total graphic files available, more detailed graphics, and higher resolution images. Giving users access to high-end graphics and animations that more realistically represent the mechanical systems in place.

QA Graphics Lands the Largest North American Project
QA Graphics, an outsourcing leader in the building automation system (BAS) industry and an expert in control manufacture software, has been providing first-rate graphic design services to companies over the last eleven years. This has led to working with JBS services on the largest North American project to date using Schneider Electric StruxureWare.
QA Graphics began their relationship with JBS Services when they were hired to work on a smaller project for the same district. Now, the contract has grown to an additional 204 buildings. When asked about this project and its unique aspects, JBS Services Director Ben O’Rourke said,

Strategic partnering was of vital importance to meet the demands of such a large project. QA Graphics started developing the project’s standard by using Schneider Electric StruxureWare, then proceeded with the BAS graphics and 3D floor plans. With VPN access, they’re able to quickly map live data points for these graphics to the database for each building. The efforts provided by QA Graphics to standardize the process has allowed JBS Services’ control technicians to focus on core competencies, saving JBS Services time and money, thus creating a higher return on investment for this project.
“Having live access to the buildings, while not necessary, has been a major asset for this large of project. It allows for instantaneous updates and ease of mapping the points,” said Ben Hansen, QA Graphics’ BAS Graphics Manager.
