Provide Interactive Education

The rules are changing when it comes to building green. Gone are the days of arguing if it is technically feasible or not. It is becoming more and more of a no-brainer to go with conservation as you can see from the results listed below:

The next step in this journey is capitalizing on educating and engaging occupants on your green practices – this ensures successful execution of your energy reduction goals. Incorporating an interactive tool to teach students and other occupants about the green building features and energy efficiency practices bring transparency to the table and is a great educational factor.

Figuring Your Dashboard ROI

When you implement an Energy Dashboard you can physically see the savings. Comparing the energy usage from floor to floor or even different buildings on campus.

Some studies have found a potential savings of around 12% can be obtained by involving occupants with your sustainability efforts.

ROI = ((Energy Cost * .12) – Dashboard Cost)/Dashboard Cost

Zero Energy Schools

Net zero energy status is part of a growing trend for schools. Generally, a building meets the definition of net zero if, through a combination of efficiency and on-site renewable energy, it produces as much energy over the course of a year as it uses.

Placing an Energy Dashboard where students can interact with and learn what initiatives the school is taking. Making the building’s systems transparent and putting sustainability front and center.
